Facts about the Sharpe's Grysbok -- Raphicerus sharpei:

SIZE: Shoulder height 50 cm, mass (m) 7,5 kg, (f) 8 kg.

COLOUR: A rich reddish-brown, speckled with white hairs. Underparts are lighter and there are whitish rings around the eyes.

RECORD LENGTH OF HORNS: 6.3 cm

MOST LIKE: The Cape Grysbok, but smaller and with shorter horns, also no 'false hooves' above fetlock.

HABITAT: Dry, sandy areas or rocky terrain where there is low-growing bush and grass cover of medium height.
