Location: Roodewal is situated approximately 40 km from the Olifants Restcamp on the gravelled road to Timbavati

Description:

Regulations: Roodewal is administered from Olifants Restcamp.

Accommodation: A maximum of 19 persons can be accommodated at a time.

There is one family cottage with two bedrooms and a lounge/diningroom. One bedroom has two single beds and a bathroom en suite. The other bedroom has two single beds, and there is a second bathroom (with shower) leading out of the livingroom.
Three huts have three beds each and a loft with two mattresses. The huts have their own bathroom (shower, toilet and washbasin) and a small refrigerator.
There is a separate diningroom and a separate kitchen with a coal stove, refrigerator, freezer, sink, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery.

Services:

Solar energy is sufficient for lights only. Gas lamps are available for emergencies.
No air conditioning or fans are provided.
Barbecue facilities.
Open parking.
A special feature is a lookout platform that resembles a treehouse. It is constructed around an enormous Nyala tree, and hangs suspended over the banks of the Timbavati.
The nearest shop is at Olifants Restcamp, 40 km.
