Guy Lundy is a futurist, strategic thinker and economic analyst. He helps organisations gain insight and understanding of the risks and opportunities facing them, so that they can reduce the amount of uncertainty in their environment and create their most desirable future.
Guy presents a number of keynotes aimed at helping organisations become “Future Fit”:
- “Beyond 2010 ” looks at the key trends facing South Africa and what we should be doing to take advantage of the opportunities presented.
- “The Re-scramble for Africa” considers the key trends affecting the future of Africa in the global village. This is of particular interest to international investors wishing to understand how best to approach the continent.
- “Leading the Future Fit” addresses the need for visionary leadership in organisations aiming to become future fit, with a helpful “how-to” for those responsible for this daunting task.
- “Going Global” builds on research that Guy has conducted into lessons learnt by 15 leading South African companies that have developed a multinational presence and offers valuable insight into how best to approach the process of internationalisation.
Guy’s journey from his memorable “I Pledge Allegiance” call in 2001, led to the book “ South Africa: Reasons to Believe” and later the book “South Africa 2014: The Story of our Future”. Today he is in demand as a leading trend analyst and scenario planner.
