Biography
 

Dr Eve presents papers on aspects of Human Sexuality and Relationships at National and International Conferences and Seminars, runs Transformational Relationship and Sexuality Workshops and trains Professionals in this area.  In January, 2000 Dr Eve conducted a highly successful weekend workshop on the Symphony Ship, the first time a workshop of this nature was held out at sea.

In October,2001 YPO (Young President's Association) , Kenya Chapter invited Dr Eve to Nairobi   where she  ran  a series of  workshops for children, men, women and couples  over 5 days. Due to the exceptionally positive response to this work, Dr Eve plans to extend this groundbreaking work into other areas of Africa. In February 2004, Dr Eve went to Lagos, Nigeria, to bring her work there.

Sexuality Education forms a constant and integral part of all her work. In January, 2001 she was appointed as a part time lecturer at the Medical School of the University of Cape Town.  Dr Eve also lectures at the South African College of Applied Psychology. She has delivered a series of lectures at the Child Guidance Clinic, Department of Psychology, UCT, and at the University of the Western Cape as well as at Tygerberg Medical School, Stellenbosch. Dr Eve is passionate about educating young adults and regularly runs workshops at schools.
 
After successfully completing a three year stint on East Coast Radio, Kwazulu Natal, and by popular demand she returned to this radio station in June 2002 for another 2 years. Her radio career as Dr. Eve began on Capital Radio, in October,1994 and after it closed down, she moved on to Radio Metro where  after 7 years, PILLOW TALK became a national institution in South Africa.  In May 2001, Dr Eve began "S.E.X." on Good Hope FM, a radio show targeting the youth, the first of its kind in the country. All are live phone-in shows, focussing on sexuality and relationships. Dr Eve regularly guests on Radio 702, Cape Talk and SAFM. She appears on TV as an expert in her field. In July 2002, Dr Eve had her own weekly insert in a 13 part series on national television on MANSMENS, KYKNET, on DSTV.

In May 2002, Dr Eve was nominated as a  Women of the Year in the Health Category in the SABC 3, Shoprite Checkers Competition. In August, 2003, the book WOMEN TODAY was launched, naming and celebrating the top 140 women in South Africa. Dr Eve is one of the 140 women honoured in this book.

Dr Eve publishes articles in national and international academic journals, and is consulted as an expert by local as well as international popular magazines.  Dr Eve had her own monthly column in WOMYN, a lesbian magazine and for two years in LONGEVITY, a very popular national magazine. She writes for THE HEART FOUNDATION magazine and has her own column in THE SOUTH AFRICAN JOURNAL OF NATURAL MEDICINE as well as in the newly launched MOVE! magazine. Dr Eve completed her first book: TEENAGE S.E.X. BY DR. EVE. Three other books are planned over the next few years.

In November 2001, Dr Eve’s attention shifted to the all important area of Sexual Health, a newly recognised area of Sexology in South Africa. She launched Cape Town Medi Clinic Sexual Health Centre, the first such centre in South Africa. The Centre offers international standards of treatment to people from all over South Africa and surrounding countries. Forensic sexology is a new area of interest for Dr Eve and she is being recognised as an expert in this field.

Dr Eve’s latest launch is the DR EVE PARTNER CENTRE, which offers an exclusive meeting of partners for long term relationships. This unique lifestyle centre offers single, professional people a service- driven highly personalised and confidential opportunity of meeting a partner.
