- a PhD student from the United Kingdom with the University of Pretoria, doing his thesis on the Structural Geology of the Blouberg Mountain (18 months);

- a PhD student (Zoology) from Germany with the University of Bremen;

- an MSc student (Zoology) from Germany with the University of Bonn;

- a PhD student (Primatology) from Switzerland with the University of St Andrews - Scotland for a year;

- and a PhD student (Zoology) from the United States of America with the University of Pretoria.

This provides BLOUCON with the opportunity to accumulate data and information on a wide variety of subjects while at the same time providing a valuable service in the field of scientific research.
