NEW PEN DELIVERS HALF UNITS

The NovoPen 3 Demi is the first half-unit permanent insulinpen injector available in South Africa. It is used with the 3 ml Penfill insulin refils for Actrapid, Protophane, Actraphane and Mixtard. It is particularly useful for people who require fine-tuning of their insulin therapy, for people using the basal/bolus regimen and for children who often need small dosages. The Demi is a refinement of the NovoPen 3, it has a simple and easy to read dosing scale and is accurate, safe and reliable. It is available in navy blue and orange and comes in a descreet and convenient pouch.

The Demi can also be used with NovoPen 3 PenMate which is specially designed to boost the confidence of people who are worried about needles. The very fine needle is out of sight, and the manufacturers claim that this seems to reduce patients' fears and consequently lessens the perception of pain.
