Meet Valhalla. Heaven for some and hell for others. The Vikings could think
of no better afterlife than one of war, women and wassail. A couple of other
characters find that the afterlife that they have earned is not at all what
they wanted.
Tom Holt's cast of regulars battles its way through a book that skates
close to the cutting edge of philosophy. There are hilarious embedded
one-liners and a few thoughts provoked as the meaning of eternity and
omnipresence.
Perhaps not the one to start Tom Holt on but good value for his many fans. **
