Cecilia Dart Thornton writes in an extremely entertaining way but this is
basically a love story which covers 422 pages.
It has all the elements of a run-of-the-mill love story, jealousy,
misunderstanding, revenge and tragedy, as well as some happiness.Set in a
pre-industrial society, I suppose it could technically be called fantasy.
It is the story of Jared and Lilith and how they struggled to be together
"against terrible odds". I read it to the end because of the
quality of the writing but I would not go out of my way to find the next
volume. There are just too may novels out there to continue to read Mills and
Boon fantasy.
