For those readers who enjoy epic and heroic fantasy, then this book will
strike a chord with you.
As a boy, Kieli witnesses the decimation of his people, barely survives and
is left for dead.
He is saved by mysterious strangers and calls himself Talon.
Talon vows revenge but because of an oath he swore to serve his mysterious
and secretive saviours, he must bid his time.
It took a while for me to really enjoy this book but by the end I was
intrigued by Talon's experiences and the many secrets of the Conclave of
Shadows that saved his life. They seem to have an agenda that Talon has
difficulty in deciphering.
I definitely recommend this book to readers of heroic fantasy, and fans of
Raymond E Feist will not be disappointed.
