2006 WEEKEND AWAY GALLERY

On Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 October 2006 we went camping at the Tsaing Crater. Both days was fine to hot, and Saturday evening we all had a good time at the rest camp. The next day we walked the trail into the crater, before splitting up and going home.

Here is some photos of the event.

Inside of the crater. Sunday 8 October 2006. One of the nice things about the Tsaing crater is that at a diameter of less than 2 km, it is easily possible to see the entire crater from certain vantage points. Here the tree-covered sides, hilly rim, salt lake at the bottom and causeway can all be seen. For a very long time this place has been used as a source of salt. Photographer: Ron Cowley
