Getting There

Mabeleni Dam is approximate 45 km from Umtata of the R61 (Engcobo / Queenstown Road). Travel from Umtata for approximately 25 km on the R61. At Tabase turn right and follow it. As one enter the plantation the road will fork, the left going to the Langeni Sawmill and the right going to Mabeleni Dam. The dam is at the end of the tar road, approximately 20 km from the Tabase turn-off on the R61. See the map below.
