    City's first 25 mile cycle road race championship was held on 11 November 1893
    Results:
    1st S Chicken 1 hr 29 min 55 seconds;
    2nd J Anderson 1 hour 30 minutes 28 seconds;
    3rd J Pepper 1 hour 32 minutes 28 seconds
